My client is a specialist provider of impact protection solutions and materials. They manufacture and license patented shock absorption material to be utilised as an integrated solution for a host of different applications including Sportswear, Footwear, Electronics and PPE.

Following considerable success within the sports industry, they are now looking to establish their brand and technology within the PPE / Defence sector.

The Role:

With a European remit, the PPE / Defence Commercial Manager will be targeted on developing close working relationships with European garment & PPE manufacturers to develop impact protection solutions for a variety of different applications. For example; knee and elbow protection in workwear garments, impact protection in footwear, absorption solutions for body armour and riot gear. You will look to build long-term strategic partnerships that can deliver mutual technical and brand benefits.

Who we are looking for?

We are ideally looking for an individual who has experience working for a fibre or fabric manufacturer selling to garment manufacturers (Example backgrounds: DuPont, Gore-Tex, Carrington Performance etc). We can also consider candidates who have experience selling technical garments / PPE solutions to the MOD / Emergency Services (Examples CBRN & Body Armour). You will have a passion for product & material development and have a commercial awareness and character to sell the brand ideologies in the market.

POA:

Basic salary £35000 - £45000 + bonus incentive to achieve 50% of salary.
